HB 489                                                                                            
President Stevens made the following committee referral change to CS                                
FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 489(RLS) "An Act relating to the treatment                                       
of charity events by the Alaska Public Offices Commission and under                                 
the law governing legislative ethics; and providing for an effective                                
date." He replaced the Rules Committee referral with a State Affairs                                
Committee referral.                                                                                 
                                                                                                    
The bill was referred to the State Affairs Committee.

Senator Therriault, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent that                                   
Uniform Rule 23 be waived on CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 489(RLS)                                         
"An Act relating to the treatment of charity events by the Alaska                                   
Public Offices Commission and under the law governing legislative                                   
ethics; and providing for an effective date" for a State Affairs                                    
Committee meeting on March 21 at 3:30 p.m. Senator Ellis objected,                                  
then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, it was
